GriD
Grid is an interactive installation by Gianluca Beccari presented as part of the exhibition “Il mito della velocità. Arte, motori e società nell’Italia del ‘900” at Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome in February-May 2008. Estereotips has programmed the interactive system.
Grid is an immersive environment reacting to the presence of visitors. Promoted by Italian Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN) aims to introduce some of the latest Institute’s work, especially Large Hadron Collider (LHC). From a galaxy in slow motion, installation’s stage zero, the environment shows off some suggestive audio and video sequences. The door to the different contents is a light ray, in the center of the room, that reacts in an audio/visual way to human presence.
The aesthetic goal of the installation is not to explain didactically nuclear science but rather than free the concepts related to his imagery.
